Founded on May 5, 1961, the women of Gamma Chi Delta immediately distinguished themselves as a distinct club. The greek letters Gamma, Chi, and Delta, at the time, were the only combination of Greek letters never once used together for a sorority or fraternity.

Colors: Green and White
Symbol: Daisy
Motto: In Unitas, Individualis - each member is encouraged to develop her own interests and character while representing the club at the same time
Symbol: a daisy, to reflect the motto - different, distinct, and individual petals, unified in the center
Crest: (seen to the right) the Key - the key to the future, the Torch - the light of education, and the Scroll - the charter members and founding of our club
Purpose: to unite, to improve, to create, to attain, to make it possible, to influence, to grow, and not to exclude, but to honor
